Default Limited Company question

If for example I have a limited company and I know that people can do company checks etc

Is there any way I can tell when ever anyone checks me out or puts a 'watch' on me, or indeed stop them ?

The accountant I spoke to, told me it is possible to restrict what info is available and also set it so it says records were filed, but not for what amount.

I can't recall much more than that, I'm afraid.

You can ask companies house who has downloaded your accounts but iirc they wont tell you much, just when they were downloaded.

All ltd companies have their accounts on public view so if you don't want that consider sole trading but tax is much worse in most cases.

Thanks

I know with Companies House that filed accounts are available to all and sundry

In hindsight I should have created a company name that

a) wasn't my initials
b) wasn't registered to my home address
c) wasn't registered in my name

I'm really not bothered in that sense but my old company have found out today about me so will undoubtedly now put me on the credit watch list (that they pay for) and monitor me like a hawk

Register another company name and make the first one dormant.

All too easy in hindsight LOL, I have another company registered that is dormant but I am the names director on both, so they know about both of them

Like I said earlier, I should have registered a non meaningful name, registered to a registered office and in someone elses name

Still waiting on company name John - are you up for seeing what I can find out in the public domain ?
Have you been trading for > 1 year? Submitted accounts? - If not, I'll probably find SFA.

I'd make a call to your accountant, see if they can suggest a way to get around the problem.

To be honest, I thought your old boss would be too busy trying to avoid being caught with what he's been up to, rather than worry about you.
