Can no longer tolerate iPhone battery life - which BB?
Chaps / Ladies,
I'm a reasonably heavy phone user for business, and am sick of getting caught out with the iPhone, so am just going to keep it for personal use.
I think I'm going to get a blackberry for business use, not sure which one though... I'm not bothered about multimedia, just the ability to send and receive email, and 'forever' standby and usage that the bb's seem to excel at.
Can you recommend a blackberry please? Will probs buy it sim free, use sim card from my iPhone and stick my spare sim in the bb.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks muchly

Have had the Bold and currently the new Torch, to be honest the Bold was far better on battery life than the Torch due to the smaller screen apart from that they are both very capable just differences in interface really. If you want battery life the Bold is defo the one, but if you prefer the full touch screen then the new torch is not bad at all.
Cheers Iain

Thanks Iain, really not bothered about the touchscreen tbh, just need basic functionality so it sounds like the bold fits the bill

Some of the others with smaller non touch screens, get far longer
I like the keyboard, main reason for going to BB

My bold was lasting easy a full week between charges, was only ever using the mob network, wifi and blue tooth were mostly switched off. My current torch lasts 3 days at best.

also if things are mission critical you can always keep a spare battery in the car/laptop bag/coat pocket etc
not sure you can do this with an Iphone (unless you have a soldering iron handy)

If you are going to end up using two handsets, one for personal and one for business, it doesnt really matter what you use as it will last a lot longer.
I have a spare iphone in the office which is only used as a camera with email function for our quality guys and it can be left on for 8-10 days idling.

I'm damn sure, hateful things- never could get on with them tbh, but the battery thing on the iPhone is becoming an issue.
Whilst its great having one device that does everything, it's a real pain when said device packs up and you don't have a charger!

I've got one already, but it relies in it a) being charged, and b) remembering to take it. Tbh suits me fine to have two phones now.
