My superior got the sack yesterday
As above, he was on his six month probation period as am I. Even though I understand fully why he was sacked, it has still put a massive damper on my weekend and made me remember that my work is very much under scrutiny for another few months!
Very sad to see anyone lose their job at the moment, regardless if you agree or not with the decision.

Got told I will be made redundant last Monday, not enough project work coming in apparently. Funny thing is this is my last week, and I've got three seperate projects to finish off for people because of the sudden increase in work load. Been told my work is of good standard too, but that isnt good enough.
All my work will be spread round the remainder of my team to keep them busy. 4 1/2 years with one small pay rise.
Couldnt of happened at a worse time either - car insurance is due £1800, and so is the full service at £600

being made redundant is horrible. the worries, the pressure. the bills.
Just keep your head down and keep producing results.
This recession cant go on forever.
ps. I heard PSLewis can bail out Greece with his pension and still have enough left over to fill up his civic.
