Any good deals on iPhone 4s?
As above, my trusty 3GS took a wallop today and running on a sim only deal so looking at getting the 4S tomorrow on a fresh contract.
Any good deals about, would prefer to stay with the iPhone for apps I've paid for like Satnav etc. Will prolly flog the 3GS on eGay as it still works, albeit with reduced functions.
Best I've seen is Voda 24m, 600mins, 3000 texts, free phone, £36 p/m.
Thanks in advance,
Andy

£864 for your contract. You can walk into an apple shop and buy one for approx £400 i think, will you use £450 worth of payg credit in two years?
Thats the big Q.

Hi Andy, have a look at T-mobile, they're doing some great packages at the moment.
i.e. 24 month contract at £36 per month, but you get - 2000 cross network minutes, unlimited T-mobile calls, unlimited texts, unlimited internet. Sounds quite good.

Chris, yes, 24 months.
Graham, will have a look mate as possibly open to other networks.
Others, I haven't £499 to buy the phone and then £10-15 p/m for my sim only on top. So a £500 phone which will suit me plus the cost of mins, texts etc over 24 months would see it close to the £800 mark anyway would it not?
And as said, I have no desire to leave apple as 1. I like the product and 2. I have apps which have been paid for that I want to transfer. Thanks for your suggestions though.

I got mine direct from apple sim free £499
You could get a barclaycard or tesco credit card with 12-18 months interest free on it to help spread the cost if required
I use a O2 data only sim card for £6 a month and just pay a quid or two for any odd calls I make but that's what emails ,and apple messenger is for as they are free
Or you could go the griff gaff sim for a tenner a month which lots of people use
Go to AV forums iPhone section and there is a coatings chart for the best value packages
I upgraded at Xmas from the 3GS and there is no comparrison
4s is brilliant and camera is great too worth every penny

Trust me, I couldn't!
I defaulted on some payments when I lost my last job 4 years ago. This lasts 6 years on your credit record. Phone contracts are ok but I have no desire to attempt anything else on tick or credit card Not until I'm 100

People say apple fans are bad, someone comes along saying he wants a iPhone , "buy a htc"
That's a good deal Andy, in two years the iPhone will still perform as good as it was when you got it.
Apple will probably support it for the next couple of years anyways.
Login with your apple id and all your apps will be available to download , cant get any easier

Thanks for the advice guys. May look into the Quidco thing, just waiting on a pm from someone.
Ant, pretty much why I prefer to stay with Apple for my phone as I assume my apps won't be lost as its the iTunes account not the phone?

I think 3G have the cheapest contracts for Iphones. Does it have to be a 4S? I think they have the 4 for £29 a month.
Mrs Eddscott wants an Iphone when her current contract is up. I'm of the feeling that paying thirty something pounds for 2 years for a phone is bananas but she has the "I want an Iphone" mentality and any attempt to convince her otherwise is fruitless.
Don't get me wrong, I think the Iphone is an excellent product. Its just not worth the entrance fee IMO.

Buy a HTC!
Seriosuly though, if you are skint, getting a £36 a month phone contract seems a bit odd, even for you!
The thing with itunes is exactly what you said. You want to stay with apple so you don't lose your music collection. Seems daft when you say it like that. With normal mp3, it's yours to use freely on any device. How Apple can actually keep the music that you buy is surely bordering on illegal.
Get out now mate! There a tonnes are free sat nav apps on android, so no worries there.
If money wasn't tight, I wouldn't have posted.
Think before you sign up for a two year deal. It's a long old time.

Before the thread goes the usual way, my current contract that recently finished was £35 a month. I've seen a deal for 18 months at Carphone Warehouse but there are a couple of things which I won't go into that are being considered.
Chris, not my music mate, just apps like Satnav that have been paid for etc plus I'm not a fan of HTC as my Mrs has one.
See what today brings

My friend was given an iPhone 3GS that he gave to his mrs to replace her HTC Wildfire S. She swapped back to the HTC within a week.
If it is just for your satnav then, I really would urge you to see what else is out there.
For the sake of a few quid for a new satnav program, you could save yourself a wad load of cash over the contract period if you went for something like the Samsung Galaxy S2 which, apart from the camera, is a good match for the 4s.
Hope you get a deal that's right for you.

Well chuffed is the word
18 month contract, with o2. Free handset, 600 mins, unlimited texts, 750mb data. Was £100 in the shop (Carphone Warehouse) but they price matched the online deal). £42 a month....
....until my allie gets me 30% off the monthly tariff Mums the word.
So the above for hopefully under £30 a month.
