How amazing is this as they have actually given a victim of a bad gunshot wound a new lease of life

Thats just incredible!

Nice to see that the armed services helped fund it so the same can be used to help wounded soldiers in the future.

Saw a similar transplant although not quite as extensive for that women who got her face ripped off by a friends pet chimp. Very impressive stuff.

He has been a recluse for 15 years and wore a mask when he went out. I think when he looks in the mirror I think he will see someone that will get a woman

I see quite a number of people with transplants....... Kidneys seem OK, but people with other people's hearts wonder what's keeping them alive, lung transplants initially wonder who's phlem they are coughing up and many would like to keep their face despite what's happened...

The technology has been around for years but it's only recently that ethically it's become acceptable........ Double edged sword as usual.

That's a remarkable job; would love to see it when the swelling around the eyes has diminished!

Apparently he has the donors teeth and tongue. How weird is that, eating with someone else's teeth, having their fillings etc, etc.

And in the long term, so many questions, how will he age etc.

Looking ahead, 200 years, will face transplants become a cosmetic procedure for mega rich celebrities.
