Looking at going away for the Jubilee Bank holiday.
Has anyone done a weekend break away to LA or New York or somewhere unusual that they can recommend.
Also if they can recommend any websites.
Cheers,
DAve.

been to NYC twice for long weekends, great fun but you'll not get the best of it as you'll be jetlagged so won't be able to club it much. Shopping and lunching/beering will be your best bet.

We went to NY, it is fantastic! Walk everywhere, you will see more! Dont get in a taxi - they are lunatics! They actually shunt each other in queues!!
Manhattan is so busy and exciting, but we were nackered when we got back!

done NYC for a 4 day break, do it in style like I did with the Mrs.
Limo to heathrow, concord [now its flying again] to NYC, limo to hotel, then limo to JFK, 1st class BA to heathrow & limo home, kin expensive but many many brownie points were gained, just make sure when traveling you are in ratty jeans & t-shirt, major upseting for all the others on the planes, so **** in JFK tryed to get us chucked out of the 1st class lounge.

It depends if you want noise or quiet I guess...
Last weekend, we went to Sardinia which was very good - RyanAir are doing flights for £40 each way at the moment to Alghero.
The hotel was very good as well and another bargain - £40 each per day half-board 4 star hotel where you could throw a coin from your balcony into the sea! - see Hotel Dei Pini
If you are in to nightclubs then forget it but for relaxing for a few days it's very good.
Thanks
Gavin

Just been to Las vegas for six nights, fecking knackered now i'm back home though.
Vegas is 'open' 24 hours, so theres no need to adjust to local time, start drinking at 3am and pished by noon, bizarre
Highly recommended, especially when oasis were playing a one night gig at the Hard rock hotel

Use www.priceline.co.uk to find a hotel in Manhatten. Upper East Side or central Manhatten is best. We got a top 4* hotel in January for £75.00 per night room only. Add this to the £130.00 Daily Mail flight offer we got and it was a very cheap week!

Baby Blue & I have been to Vegas (4 nts) & Monte Carlo (3 nts) - is there a bit of a theme there? Absolutley loved Vegas - we're saving the Airmiles to go back again as soon as the PCP is paid off! MC was ok & interesting for a weekend - loved the chopper transfers from Nice - but we can't say that we'd go there again.
Re : Niagra Falls - I went there in 1989 - it's an amazing place - try & get a chopper ride over the Falls - the only downside is that when I went the shops were IMHO a bit tacky.
