Old game shows
Nowadays, I cant bear game shows but as a kid I used to have a fondness for them
Specifically, I had forgotten all about this,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcNgs...eature=related
Also, From Norwich, its the quiz of the week, as an 8 year old I so wanted that pewter horse,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHILAc6G420
A bit more obvious, and better remembered.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVtuLcB7JKY
And the price is right,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBQbiWrjK74
Perhaps a bit of Brucey ?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aZ69V1Db28
And a bit more Brucey, he looked old even then !
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfOfpYx4ZN8
Remember being round at grandparents and these being on, remember being transfixed on the shiny prices, stuff was less attainable then and it was all so exciting.

Dusty bin...that takes me back...to being glued infront the Philips TV with the the dodgy colour (had to hit it to get it back, repaired eventually). I still have that TV in the attic, still works ok.
Back then the parents still married and happy. New build house (sold after divorce ). The turgid green Bridgecraft 3pc suit. The MKIII Escort estate (that wouldn't start in winter due to auto choke playing up - even though it was new). Winters had snow as deep as I was tall, Long summers as hot as the Sahara. Being taken to see the F1GPs, ETCC, Moto GP, Truck racing.
Good times

I was travelling with a colleague during the week and while passing the time we were discussing this very subject. It is interesting how things have changed - the "star prize" used to be a speedboat a new kitchen or caravan which in monetary terms possibly equated to around £10K now the glittering prize is an obscene amount of money at least ten times that value.

I looked, but couldn't find a clip for it.

Yes it was.
Apparently they used to get a special deal if they bought three of them. When the contestants won the special prize they'd wheel out the speedboat. However they also had some blokes on standby ready to bring out the car if they didn't win. Jim Bowen admitted this after the programme was axed.

The Adventure Game. Drogna! Drogna! Think it was usually on after Newsround. Seem to recall the uncle was some aspidistra.
Have a gander at this
Loved the "...they would nick their crystal and hide it..."
Viewing it now, it seems perhaps it was a little more adult, or at least teen natured than I first thought.
