TYSON V LEWIS
#3
In his early days Tyson would have got inside to Lewis and destroyed him. This fight i believe will be totally different. Lewis will keep him on the outside with that jab of his and frustrate Tyson, worse than Evander did. Any money!! Who knows we might even see some more real life Cannibalism.

Quite sad that the 2 supposed best heavyweights are both old enough to be retired from their sport - amazing that there seems to be no real talent out there at the mo.
Lewis will win - as long as he remembers to stick bubble wrap and fragile tape on his chin

Outcome of the fight really depends on Tyson. Lewis cannot change his style, but if Tyson has his head right he is the only proper two-handed fighter around (in the heavyweights). He knows the game inside out but it all depends on which Tyson shows up.
Lewis is too upright and is open to hooks and Tyson can take him out easily if he connects with either left or right. The sad thing is that 10years ago Lewis would not be considered good enough to be in the same ring.
IMHO

I thought this was going to be a thread about Mike Tyson VS PSLEWIS.
No such joy
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Sadly, he wouldn't be allowed in the same ring as me - I am MUCH bigger, MUCH uglier and way too mean!! anyone wanna argue???

Lewis can't change his style ?? Look what he did to Gallotta, that huge Polish dude. He destoyed his with 32 out of 36 punches connecting. If he can display that power and accuracy he'll trouble Tyson. Don;t forget how lewis totally demoralised Ray mercer and played with him like a cat playing with a mouse for 6 rounds then destroyed him.
Agreed it very much depends on what mental state Tyson is in. I think Lewis is the better boxer but Tyson is the fighter. I think Lewis will beat him though. If lewis keeps that jab going into Tysons face like he can do Tyson will loose his concentration and get sloppy. Either man has the power to change the fight with one punch though and Tyson is not indestructable. Even Bruno hurt him and Lewis is a much better finisher than Bruno could have hoped to be. If Tyson get tagged and hurt lewis will follow it up and its game over.

Style had nothing to do with him beating Gallota. Connect with 32 /36 punches. The answer to that stat is in the description you gave - huge Polish dude. Yep huge as in as manouverable as a supertanker. My granny could have hit that guy with 32/36 punches!!
I agree that Tyson can be hurt - just ask Buster Douglas, altho if you watch Bruno fighting Tyson he did not hurt him. That was just Harry getting excited.
Biggest beating Tyson has ever had was by a bantamweight - name of Robin Givens. He's never been the same since.
Lets be honest - Lewis is only a champ because he's the best of a very bad bunch. As I said before, if the right Tyson shows up he will destroy Lewis. All down to whether someone can get his head back to what it used to be.

PS heavyweight division of early 70's. Ali, Frazier, Norton, Shavers, Foreman. (Larry Holmes was only a sparring partner)
That was a heavyweight division.

AllanB, Do you think Bruno was beating Lewis in Wales, long time ago I know, but Lewis was fast then so now?. Alas even Tyson admitted-said "my legs were doing some body popping" after the Bruno fight"
