need a new jet washer.. seen this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nilfisk-C1...ht_1588wt_1397
or what about...
http://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products...Fc4LtAodZyKFZQ
don't want anything that's too powerful it blows my paint off the car!!
I has a £50 Halfords 1400HP one.. but its now broke.
My snow foam lance needs to fit a new jet wash.... Nilfisk/Kew/Alto all have the same fitting as the Halfords stuff.
Also don't want to spend over £100.
I only need it for washing cars/vans.. as the drive way is gravel.. so that won't need jet washing!! lol
any comments??

that looks good.
but does water flow rate have anything to do with how well the machine works... particularly when using a snow foam lance?

Think about it this way - the BAR pressure is the speed with which the water is being driven out of the nozzle - but the flow rate is the volume of water that's coming out.

Ideally you want good pressure (130-150bar) and good flow rate (500lph+). Commercial stuff is often 700lph flow rate and upwards...

I'd go Nilfisk - and the best you can get for the money (P150 would be my choice at £299 on Cleanstore if I was looking, but appreciate that it's beyond your budget).
Cleanstore do very good deals on Nilfisk - so look on there and go for the best you can afford (taking flowrate and pressure into account).

The one I have here is branded "Hozelock" and came from B7Q. It looks IDENTICAL to the Nilfisk ones except it's YELLOW and grey, not blue.
BUT: this morning the elsdest reports it's leaking and seems to be cracked right across the pressure tank
Going to ring them in the morning.....will keep you updated.

Nilfisk C120 seems to get good Amazon reviews (for what that's worth)
What other things would you need for car cleaning? Alloy wheel cleaning brush, chemicals etc?

For future reference, if you're looking for the BEST snowfoam - then Magifoam is it! Fantastic stuff. I did my Scoob and my Lexus with a single 1ltr mix of it yesterday (hot water:Magifoam at about 8:1) with quite a bit to spare. Leave it to dwell for 10+ minutes (more is better, and this will dwell for ages) and then pressure wash off. Nothing else required, it's THAT good.

It's about 100ml of magifoam to about 800ml of water in a 1l container - and I could go weaker, but I do like a good thick foam (that spays like marshmallow) and covers, sticks and dwells well.
circa 50ml of magifoam per car isn't bad going though!

Hozelock didn't muck about, let's see if B&Q do.........
More later.

Got that same kit last year - very pleased with it, washes brilliantly. Only complaint is you can't lock the trigger on when using the drain hose. Drain contents + 15m of high pressure hose one handed isn't fun.

B&Q offered replacement, but there was no stock.
They then offered an upgrade so I bought their clearance model of this: http://www.hozelock.com/high-pressur...sher-7902.html, for an extra £10. Reckon I got a good deal.Another year's guarantee too.

It's ALL about flow rate really...
Think about it this way - the BAR pressure is the speed with which the water is being driven out of the nozzle - but the flow rate is the volume of water that's coming out.
It's like the difference between a pea going at 50mph and a bowling ball going at 50mph. The bowling ball is going to have much more impact even though the speed is the same.
