Yeah, I saw it. I enjoyed it.
I thought the Hamilton family had come from a wealthier background, don't know why but I assumed they had always had money but it showed that Anthony and his wife worked bloody hard to give Lewis a chance and it all paid off.

Watched the last 3/4. Did I hear a comment that said he had never driven a car before stepping into the Clio at the start of the 2011 season? If so that was great. I know the Clio Cup fields are like 30 - 40 cars in a race so finishing top 20 is a good going IMHO regardless of only just starting to drive.
Good on Nic for showing that a disability can't stop you.

Going to play the controversial card here
Fair play to the bloke, he did well, that off into the tyre wall looked bloody hard !!!
BUT!
How would the show, have panned out / come across if he was "John Doe" a disabled drived from "Acrington Stanley"??
Would we have watched it? Would the media have been out in force when he first stepped onto the grid?
If his brother had been "Dave" a lorry driver, would there have been so many people supporting and following him?

You are right what you are saying though I would have watched the programme as it concerned motor racing.

Or any sponsorship?
Or followed by TV?

I must admit I chuckled about the sponsors. Most of the others had stuff like "Franks DIY" and "Bobs sausages" and Nic Hamilton had Vodafone, Reebok, Tag Heuer and Hugo Boss. I wonder where I've seen those sponsors before

Got around to watching it last night. Must admit I didnt realise he had such problems walking around.
Fair play to anyone racing for the first time when your up against people who have been driving since they were knee high.
His dad was hard ball about doing well or packing him off to Uni or to get a job and the next minute he's like I will give him another year. £70k for once of those clios - ouch!!

I am full of admiration for his attitude to life and the fact he just wont let his disability beat him. He has always supported his brother 100% and I am delighted that he has the chance to have a go at it himself. They must be a very close family I reckon.

I think they are and I think that's part of the reason Lewis didn't do so well last season in F1, because he didn't have his dad there to support him.
