For you star gazers tonight.
There is an alignment of the planets to the left of the moon of Venus, Jupiter and Uranus.

was at my bro's house on Sunday night . He lives out in the country and i was telling him its amazing how many stars you can see when there is no light pollution from the town lights , when a satalite went past ! a FECKIN SATALITE ! I was in awe TBH.
Will have to tell him about this.
If you have smart phone get the "Google Sky Map" app , just turn your fone to the sky and it shows where everything is.

Venus is really close, the brightest object to the the left of the moon, then 11 o'clock to venus a bit further up is Jupiter. Yesterday all three were lined up.

I have no idea where to look for the milkyway but I just live in the country on our farm so simply stand in one of our fields and look up (quite flat ground) ...can pretty much see everything, especially if there's no cloud.
The only thing I can actually locate is the Plough!

I have been watching this the last couple of nights, I noticed it on Thursday, when I spotted a really bright star close to the moon, turns out that's Jupiter.
I have been using star map for the lest few days to watch it.
