Same in Glasgow. I got hit with a £12 charge when I nipped in for some xmas shopping. I'd have taken the train, but can't be doing with traveling amongst the peasants.

We (Devonians) have been caught by the bug that is charging the earth for parking. Its a shame industry and technology have not caught on yet!

I'm going out in Nottingham tonight - need to drive in as there are no buses from where I live.

I've found a Metro carpark in the city centre where I can park overnight (entering 7:30 pm, leaving around 9:30 am tomorrow), very secure, ticket only exit (pedestrian and vehicle), roller shuttered entrance/exit and all for just £4.50

However, I'll be getting a taxi home tonight and that'll cost me £30....

I always try to park for free even if I have to drive miles to do so private car parks can't touch you so I park there with no ticket!

EEKS! That's a lot! I hardly pay for taxis when I go out. I just drive the ******, and stay sober all night. I am crying now for I may be paying for a taxi tomorrow night (£12 return max.), as my friends would really like to see me p!ssed at the do for a change.
