Default Where to buy some shorts?

possibly a dangerous place to ask clothing questions on a motoring forum, but I didn't know about japanese denim until i read it here in NSR

so, I'm after some beige shorts, knee length, kind of styled like a chino trouser but i'm open minded to a little more casual. definitely no swim wear/board shorts.

my old pair were Dubarry and I loved those, but i can't really find anything i like from them.

Any suggestions for brands or online retailers?

I got a nice pair of Gant shorts last summer, smart with a slight combat short look. Fekking expensive for shorts though - guess thats what happens when you get John Lewis vouchers and have no idea what you want to spend them on!

No, if you're looking for cheap and chearful try www.primark.co.uk

Got a few pairs last year and worn absolutely fine. I begrudge paying £20-30-40 for something which will last as long as an item bought from Primarni for £8

Although I seem to have got too fat for most of there stuff Bought a couple of pairs of shorts last year expecting them to fit no problem and the first pair I couldn't do them up, though the other pair I bought were fine. Inconsistent sizing I guess.

Problem is in Primark the amount of time I'd waste trying them on would cost more than the value of the item itself Likewise with taking them back for a refund.

No worries anyhow, just gives me the incentive to slim down to fit them

I just try stuff on before buying and allow for any shrinkage as it's not perfect designer clothing

You can walk around with blue knees and goosepimples like the holiday makers do when they come down here even when it is freezing cold...and the postmen!
