Ok - so I have been in the dog house all day. Her indoors is giving me the hump big time.

Let's explore why.

She has a car, registered in her name, that she chose and bought. I merely supplied the money for because I am kind and nice like that. It needed to go back to BMW for a small issue to be fixed and the man came to pick it up.

BMW man comes - her indoors coming rushing back in the house demanding to know where the tax disc is.

What tax disc darling? I ask.

The tax disc, you got a tax disc for the car, she replied bluntly.

Errr, no, I have no tax disc, I didn't know it might need and indeed why would I buy a tax disc for your car? The operative term here, being YOUR car.


Anyway - BMW man refused to take it and now there has been serious hump (not humping) all day.

BTW There was a whole part II to this story regarding a lost insurance certifcate for insurance that she bought, in her name for her car which literally involved in toys being thrown.

I don't get that. Why on earth should she be asking you where her car's tax disc is?? Has she been driving her car without the tax??? Anyone with a driving licence and a running car in use knows that the tax disc should be displayed on the car, and the insurance certificate should be kept safe. There's only one reason why she would ask you for her tax disc. That's if you have been driving her car, to save thrapping your car. she might have thought that you have done something with her tax disc. I know its an unreasonable of her to think that you have eaten her tax disc (and her insurance papers), but **** happens. If not, I wonder if the tax disc has fallen off due to the cheap tax disc holder with cheap glue she bought with your money , and it could be resting near the front passenger's footmat. Insurance papers could have been hiding in the secret glove compartment. If not, only God knows why she can't locate the tax disc and insurance for her car. You should have given her some money for tax and insurance as well, you know. Anyhow, you better sit in the corner, and just let it all blow over. Resigning is the best option when you can't do with them, but at the same time, you can't do without them. Easy, Trout.

FUnny how everthing around the house has to be shared, yet fixing, maintaining, predicting when the arbitary squeak on the car is my duties and my duties alone.

Yet as soon as i start said duties, (oil change, service, pads/ disks) its not quick enough, and the car is urgently required...Why she cant use mine is beyond me lol


She has been warned that the next time she moans about said time to fix car, tools will be downed, and it will become her responsibility to call a garage to complete repairs
