Default HTC Sensation V HTC Sensation XE

Anybody own either of the above?

As i am thinking of buying the basic Sensation but there are rumours of problems with in call volume/quality and Death grip signal issues. i dont want to pay another £100 for the XE version just for the Beats head phones as i have seperate ones already but no point buying a phone you cant make calls on!

My OH has the XE. It's a superb phone. I've had my Desire 2 years and hers does look very fancy. I think the extra battery, power and headphones warrant a little more cost. We got it on a 2yr contract totalling £316. With the referrals and topcashback, selling blackberry etc she'll be paying £116. Not bad!

Her sister has the basic sensation and i would easily take the XE over it. I ordered a S2 for a friend and playing with both, i still prefer the XE.

She suffers no in-call volume issues or death grip. It has froze twice in a month though.

Yeah, my GF has a GiffGaff sim, but with that deal and an O2 contract, it still works out cheaper than buying the phone, plus it's pay monthly

I've both a HTC (works phone) and an I phone. my wife has a HTC too.

I think they are pants compared to an I phone.

I find my HTC incredibly hard to use v the I phone, and mine isn't even a new one, its a 3gs. my I P must be 2 years old now and its been perfect all the time.

I have a Desire and it`s childs play My ex has an iphone and I hated using that. It`s what you get used to I suppose. Mine hasn`t faltered in 18 months either...not even fussed about upgrading yet. People are either an iphone fanboy....or open minded to all brands!

OP, have you considered the Sensation XL? http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/htc-sensation-xl.htm

I have the XE. Awesome phone!!

Has some tangible improvements over the normal, faster processor and larger battery, so well worth tracking down.

XL has the bigger screen but a smaller battery

The battery is not an issue with the Sensation - I replaced mine as soon as I bought it with this one:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/1900mAh-Li-i...4460545&sr=8-1

1900mAH and it lasts an age in day to day use.
