Default IPHONE 4S BROKEN

My partner has just smashed the back glass on her new iPhone 4s

You can get replacement ones for £7 on ebay. Are these really any good or should I stay clear of them

A repair for a fee is not really a good will gesture, or was it meant to be ironic?

Not at all, but people seem very keen on spelling and grammar on here so I'm getting in on the act

£7 sounds worth a punt, some of the back covers are not glass replacement though but black plastic - worth checking

If you touch it yourself, Apple will know if you have a warranty issue not only do there have moisture sensors there have tamper sensors inside, When i had mine replaced due to a battery issue the guy next to me was being told it has been opened up by someone else other than apple and refused to repair it

I have dropped my 3GS on the floor many a times, but it refuses to break. Solid as rock. 3GS is the best iPhone in every aspect. Ditch 4S, get 3GS. Doesn't matter if you have to live with no signal on it. At least you will have an undestructable iPhone to show for.

Apple store all the way mate. As long as you go in being nice and expecting nothing they will most likely help you out. Then get a Grifin survivor or a ballistic HC. They are the protective daddies

Just like to add that I repair phones mostly iPhones and for the ones I couldn't fix I did advise the customer to visit apple and most of the time they have recived replacements at a massive reduced cost or even free but only for those in contract.

But most of my repairs are water damage lol. but I'm sure if it's just a back cover apple should be fine with sorting it if not let me know and I will get a price for you.

I also repair iPhones and I can say by taking the back off does not void any warranty as there is no tamper on the rear case. The water sticker and warranty tab is on the screw and battery

Order a genuine screen from the Internet and fit yourself it's two Penelope screws and your there

Happened to my wife's and they repaired it for free - Birmingham Bull Ring Store

The rceipt they gave showed it would've been £22 or £27 anyway so it's hardly much!

Get it done by Apple - worse case scenario is they say no or charge you.

The iPhone 4s is very easy to smash compared to the galaxy range which fair much better when dropped. There is YouTube clip demonstrating how easy you can destroy the iPhone
