Default Apple lose in Aus

The appeals court unanimously side with Samsung.

Samsung will now start selling their flagship 10.1 Galaxy tab in Australia.

When you think about it, don't all cars follow a very similar design philosophy?

I.E. 4 wheels, 5 seats, 1 engine, 1 gearbox etc?
All have a forward facing windscreen and a heater too.

Aren't they just all copying each other?

Interesting - I do feel that in recent times Apple have been trying to dominate by simply claiming the opposition infringed some copyright and then taking the opposition to court as Apple simply has more money to throw at the legal system.

Exactly. Apple have had a good run trying to monopolize markets with weak patent infringements. Now the competition can start and erode their market share, like Android has done with their OS.

Job done. Stop people from buying a rip off and suffering the disappointment felt by others when they realise it just looks like an iPad.

Hopefully Samsung have learnt their lesson.

I'd be disappointed if I found out it WAS an iPad.

Only the consumers that buy any product that isn't made by a certain fruit company.

Yes, looks like an iPad, feels like an iPad but it's just a big unsupported phone. No doubt hundreds of small children will be disappointed this Christmas when they receive a HP Slate or a Tab or any number of knock offs when they asked Santa for an iPad.

Yeah these nasty people at samsung are conning people in to thinking they have bought an ipad, when really they are buying a far superior device...

I am currently involved with a client who wants a simple page on his site with a nice promo video playing in the middle of the page and controls to stop/start it etc. He wants it to work on all devices.

A simple enough request one would think and Flash video was the answer.

Thanks to Apple this is now a complete f**king minefield of doom!

You will tell me to use HTML5... I invite you to try it ... good luck!

Oh I dunno, I am sure there are others.

Jense got lucky is all I can say .... No as I said in the F1 section he had a great season and Lewis's last half was very poor by his standards. To be fair I didn't think Jense had it in him and he is driving better than ever right now... that surprised me more than Lewis having a poor season tbh.... but do I think he is faster than Lewis all things being equal... nope!

On pure speed, I agree. But speed is nothing without control both physical and mental.

I would not be surprised if Lewis comes back next year stronger than ever.

Well I hope he does as F1 will be better for it. Whatever you think the McLaren driver pairing is a pretty formidable duo. Would like a proper three way fight between the top teams next year too.... we can but hope

You've compared the non-3G iPad vs the 3G Galaxy Tab, so you're comparing Apples with oranges!

Apples with Lemons.

Snazy you crack on and buy a Tab, put it in the draw with that crap phone you told us was better than an iPhone and save a space for the Playbook.
