Emailed Admin but never got a response.
Interested to know what software is used for this message board. Is it proprietory or off the shelf? I have to set one up on the co. web site and there are many to choose from. This one works well.
?
Cheers
Matt

AFAIK, this one is custom made by Simon.
I've used phpBB a few times, and I recommend it. Excellent to use, fully customizable and best of all, free.

Hi Matt,
The forum software was hand written by Simon. He is very busy at work at the mo though, so might be worth a polite reminder? I'm not sure if he would want to license it for use else where.
Chris.

Cheers Andi
I have just scanned the www site for phpBB. Looks a good place to start. That will keep me busy on Monday - away from boring "proper" work i.e client stuff :-)

Thanks Chris
Sounds like Simon could be less busy if he wasn't reinventing wheels :-) Don't mean that as a diss, the BBS is very nice - hence me asking the Q to start with. I wish I had time to write my own! Must go do some work now myself. What a way to spend Sunday :-( Still, need to get that bank balance as healthy as poss to support the imminent first Sccoby purchase!

A similar board base is Ultimate Bulletin Board by www.infopop.com. The old board was this style. - edited. Ubb is more cgi and not asp.
lots of custom hacks out there to bring the board to a unique level. A good developers website to have a look at is www.ubbdev.com
I used to run ubb but took it off last year. still have a zipped copy if interested. php is alot better though i'd say although ubb is more stable.

Chris,
I edited the other message. Didn't mean to step on any toes. Apologies to everyone concerned for my wrong info about this board. Just remembered how it used to be.
Hos.
I'm sure it will be ever so good when search is programmed.
