Not a vet, but a cat lover and owner. Get him/her to the vets tomorrow. Cats can soon get dehydrated, so better to be safe than sorry. All the best

Have you wormed him/her?
Also, scrambled egg is good for drying them up. But, you need to find out what is causing it. Hope it all goes well

What Lee said.

They can go downhill very quickly when young. You need to get some fluid into her. Cook some fish and give her some of the fishy water. As Lee said, some scrambled egg or raw beaten egg to bind her a bit. At that age she needs to go to the vet.

First get pet insurance, Tesco is pretty good and doesnt cost a fortune.
That way your cat will be treated when its ill and not when you can afford it.

Not sure about insurance. Never had any on my cats.

I've got 2 now and just forked out £200 on the boy because he lost a fight and has nasty bites at the base of his tail.

Insurance over the 2 years would have cost more.

Point 1: Get your kitten to the vets asap, they are so small that they get dehydrated very easily and can go downhill much faster than you'd expect.
Point 2: Get insurance, if you can't afford a £200 vet bill, you need it. My mums cat was hit by a car a few years ago and it took £1500 to put him right.

General kitten advice to help prevent diarrhea:
- Make sure kitten is on the same food as it was weaned on, if you want to change it this should be done very gradually.
- Don't give kitten cows milk, you can get kitten milk if you really want, but it isn't necessary once weaned.
- Make sure he/she is wormed
- Diarrhea can also be caused by stress/fear so make sure kitten has somewhere safe of their own and that other animals/children don't have too much access until he/she is better.

Cows milk is bad for them.

Why on earth would you give an animal the milk from a different animal?

This is a bit daft as people drink cows milk.

However cats are lactose intolerant, they cannot digest the lactose in the milk properly. Its like giving a lactose intolerant human milk. You can buy cat milk which is better for them.

My cats don't really drink at all unless they eat a lot of dry biscuits, they get all the moisture they need from their wet cat food and will only drink if they need to. I notice this particularly when we go on holiday as the woman who comes in to feed them gives them the same amount of wet food we do, but always leaves tons of dry biscuits down, and they always drink their water.

They drink the milk because they like the taste, same with cream, cheese, yoghurt and all kinds of other things that they like the taste of but aren't very good for them.

When we gave Fearless Freddie dry biscuits, he got a partial blockage in his waterworks. We limit the biscuits now and put a drop of warm water on his food which he really likes.

Humans are not animals though - are they
Ok - some are, but that's a whole different story.

Try two cats - both with Diabetes - One for 2 years one for 4.5 years.

No insurance would have meant early brick laden swim for them both.

Luckily we had them insured

Don't get me wrong it is a gamble not having insurance. Its just as I've had a fair few cats now I've paid less in vaccinations and repair bills than I would have if they were all insured. And none of them would really have benefited from insurance (one cost me £400 and still died, one never came home, one got run over, one died of old age and I've got 2 now)

This won't be a popular point of view, but £1500 vets bill, i'd be thinking injection and new turbo, and i'm not talking fuel either.

Cats are cheap just buy another, kittens are much cuter than some scraggy 10yr old moggy
