Well done DVLA.
Applied online on Sunday for my photo to be renewed on my driving licence. New licence arrived today with all the correct entitlements
Downside is it cost £20 and they put the world's stickiest glue on the back.
My top tip is; don't attack it with white spirit as it is actually a piece of tape that is relatively easy to peel off if you know.
Check your expiry dates everybody as your photo licence is only valid for 10 years.

I only use it in the UK, so what's the issue?
AND, don't I just get an International Driving Licence if I go abroad? I have an International Licence right here ... issued in 1978 when I worked in Iran.
I don't see what the problem is?

Stupid.. so I email them asking to ring me as I have in comming calls only - I don't but times are hard and giving them £20 is more then enough! - 2weeks later and Im still waiting...

Is the paper bit enough?
You are not showing as existing at all, on any database, on any system, on any record .... you're not a Pikey Gypsy, are you?

I still have my paper licence too. Whats wrong with it? Its a legal document.
Japan - I have an IDP as UK licence not accepted.
Azerbaijan - i have local legalised translation accepted.
Singapore - I converted my UK licence to local photocard licence.
Russia - again legalised translation of my existing licence is all i need.
Europe - yes everybody expects to see photocard licence but my battered paper one still passes muster. (It got damp and duffered greatly when i was on my motorbike)
I really dont want the hassle of renewing every 10 years and paying money for the priviledge. And a photo card that shows me gradually turning into ps lewis.
