I used to see them quite a lot when I was growing up, there was a bombing range just down the coast from where I lived.

Awesome isnt it!
Me and a friend did rallyday a couple of years back and then as we were driving north a lancaster flew low over the bonnet and landed. We stopped for a better look and there were loads of other people hanging about in the layby, 10 minutes later a vulcan turned up and was doing low manouvers above our heads! Cool cars a plenty at rally day, but this was the highlight of the day for sure!
Was so low i could see the pilot smiling!
