I am sure that the same is true for the Pope but I suspect that no-one ever asks him if it is true that he is a Catholic? To me it reads like someone making fun of his core beliefs.

In actual fact, the Dalai Lama is a pretty sharp cookie and I reckon he knew exactly what the prat was saying and just let him keep digging the hole for himself.

Very bad manners displayed by the interviewer too.
