Default Portable Tool Box

Guys as you are aware as i've asked alot of advice on tools, I've accumulated quite a few tools over the last few months with your help.

Now they need a home, I need something portable and that can live under in a cupboard as I don't have a shed but also big enough for 16" breaker bars etc.

Halfords seem to have some great deals that end today but I'm open to suggestions, don't really want to spend over £40/50.

I have the same issue.

I have enough tools to fill a roller-cab and a top box but it need to be portable (i.e able to go in the boot of a car).

Seems everything is either too small or too large or heavy (which will be even heavier once loaded).

However whilst on the bog, reading the Demon Tweeks toy/**** catalogue, I saw this: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Perfor...y/560/0/113580

Looks a bit more usable than a Halford/snap-on/Mac roll cab + top box (smaller). But its expensive and I need to see one in the flesh to see if the drawers are the right size etc.

It depends how many tools you have to carry, you could look at Irwin tool boxes like these http://www.dm-tools.co.uk/product.ph...sn/IRW10503817 good quality and strong.

Got myself a wee yoke from halfords. its a 2 drawer and top half sort of affair that fits nicely in my cupboard.

I wanted something to pad the bottom of the drawers with and halfords were looking £16 for some roll of crap, then tried B&Q whos staff on the best of times are pretty poor but add in the fact that I have a serious dose of manflu they became unbearable. I ended up checking out a few more hardware stores on my home and gave up. Popped into a carpet shop and then gave me some underlay for free, so absolutely bonus!

Back in bed now as my spine feels like its desolving rapidly.

You drive an ALFA so you already own a portable tool box!

Would a Poly Butler be of use?

I use one for my RC stuff but it also doubles as the house toolbox. I got a breaker in there but not sure how long it is.

What I use. All can come apart to store and be put back together for track days etc. Get all the tools you need in these.

I bought a toolbox of the 'bay. US Pro. It hasnt fallen apart yet, and is transportable.

It says it is £78 on their website but I paid £40ish for it.

Lidl's are selling a wheelie toolbox at the moment. Its made of poly type material but is strong and has plenty of compartments which are removable if required.

Bit more expensive at £49.99 but seems to be good value.

Worth a look anyway.
