I'd support getting rid of it and replacing it with a British bill of rights.

Some of my issues are:

Euro human rights acts was never voted for by us and often overrides acts passed by our parliament.

Dreadful interpretation of it by the courts.

Any rights should be based upon 'natural rights' only like the US constitution, not some welfare manifesto like you have a right to healthcare, education, disability etc. 'Rights' to education should be part of education legislation only.

Too often the human rights act is a lawyers and criminals charter, such as you can't deport people because they have a 'right to a family life', or put them in jail. It's absolutely stupid.

It's so upside down, we lack the 'natural rights' to certain privacy things in this country, free travel and assembly etc thanks to terrorist laws and ANPR, but we have a 'right to a family life'.

Natural rights gauranteed first and foremost!

Natural rights LIMIT government, other human rights go further and EXPAND government. The Euro human rights acts is very much the latter.

I saw a Human Rights/QC/Barrister;Lawer type person interviewed on Sky news urging May to resign as Home Secretary because of these comments.

He would say that because he's probably got both front feet in the human rights trough coining it in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree with this. Can't help wondering if the people that put this legislation forward in the first place understood where it would ultimately take us.

Get rid of it, the only people that seems to be able to invoke the act are law breakers, criminals and terrorists leaving the victims helpless.

Exactly, will never happen! She is full of words and zero actions like the rest of her government!

About time that the Conservatives asserted themselves in accordance with their share of the vote and said what's what!

If the Lib/dems forced another election I reckon they must know that they would effectively disappear from public life.

Agreed, but the tide is turning against that kind of thinking. Let's hope any bill of rights wouldn't include positive ones, but that's doubtful. Under the guise of democracy real fairness is being eroded - that is, fairness before the law.

Like what?

Britain never needed this. The developed world didn't, and the countries that might need it just ignore anyway. In other words, it's completely pointless.
