Jef, being all muscled is great but it puts off more women than it attracts, my missus told me off when I spent three years hammering the gym as I got too big and looked daft apparently, cant win though, too fat now apparently

Is actually some truth to this.I remember when i started weight training and got quite big,it actually put some women off,even my mom said your too big,(yes i know i said mom)and my sister said the same.to me i didn't look that big,even my gf said your big,so i decided to tone it down.LOW and behold what did i get from her,where has your muscle gone,but she preferred me more toned then muscle...

But to me i wasn't that big in the first place.weird.

but tbh when a female or male for that matter, says you look absolutley disgusting, so veiny, and ripped - its actually the biggest compliment you can give a competing bodybuilder. as it mean you look so different to the norm, and freaky (or ulgy) to most non bodybuilders, is what actually wins competitions.

we stay in that condition for literally days - before rebounding in water, estrogen ect and filling out to a more "normal" look

aside from my banter - its well documanted females dont find overly muscular and lean physiques very attractive, but beleive it or not, being on stage ina bodybuilding competition is not about attracting the opposite sex - infat at that depleeted time its the furthest thing from any competitors mind. libido is non existant due to fatigue and the mental stress of competition preperation.

its just most non muscular males, and females think its about making your self sexually desirable - this couldnt be further from the truth.

Remember it well, "Chunky" guys that didnt look that big in terms of muscle used to shrink to 2/3rds their normal size, then you could spot who is tas in the photos on the wall covered in gravy browning with their arms behind their backs gurning at the camera !

All that effort and you still think you look feeble when in the gym, I mean really terribly feeble in those mirrors in the gym but people ask if you have been working out, you carry on and shirts dont fit any more but you still think you are shrinking, it is a wierd situation, you feel like you make gains but they are so trivial but the mirrors in the gym shrink them but the ones elsewhere make you look bigger. I got pissed off with it and cosidered more, er, "direct" routes and came very close but luckily my son was born and I didnt get the time to go as often and when the second one arrived it was all but over.

I did enjoy it, my abiding memory is that bodybuilders fart, a lot and it ****ing stinks. The other memory was young guys coming in every day for a week, all skinny and buying baggies, Protein supplements, creatine, belt, gloves and god knows what else and then you never saw them again, apart from one that went on the gear after a month or two, jesus that stuff works, very compelling when in that culture and can be done relatively safely if not legally.

Never been that strong, before or since, I remeber handing a big guy (6ft 5) a 3 by 2 paving slab, he thought he was man plus, I handed him the 130 lb slab and he nearly ended up on his back, it doesnt make you fast, it doesnt teach you to fight, it doesnt make you hard but **** me it makes you strong, and flatulent.

Well i've always been into sports from a young age so have always had a slim toned body,wasn't until i was older decided to pack on a few pounds of muscle+being in the Forces had influence.Never entered any bodybuilding comps so wouldn't know about that.
