Default Has this site slowed down considerably for anyone else?

In the last few days the site has had some social networking stuff added to it and since then it loads pages slower than a lethargic snail on a go slow for me!

Anyone else seeing the same thing?

You need to adblock all the adverts and links.

Another failed attempt to monetize a website.

Take a look at www.t3.com, they are actually even worse than snot - sorry snet..

An e6400 shouldn't be slow. Then again the recent windoze updates over the past three months seem to have killed the performance on everything lately.

One thing that is slow is IE6...the only way that'll run SN at any decent pace is when its in compatability mode

Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this sooner rather than later.

Take the social networking nonsense off the site and it will be back to normal! Yes I know you cannot do that, but you can ask the techs to do it and askk them to only put them back on when they work properly.

It has been passed onto the tech guys, it's just now a matter of waiting for them to deal with it.

I'm sorry this doesn't help, but as you have said yourself, it's out of our hands.

No difference in speed at all for me, on mobile or PC. Maybe it helps if you're not logged into any of the social networking sites that have been added.
