Question Dub step

As above what the **** is it all about? I went out in my home town last night for the first time in a long time on the pi$$ and ended up in a club I used to go to quite regular, that played house/ dance choons though not nessasery commercial stuff, only to be greeted by this wall of bass. So much bass I could feel my nose vibrating. Now dancing is not something that usually partake in unless I'm well oiled, and do it very badly, but how the **** do you dance to it? I'm not prepared to admit I'm too old for clubbing (35) but I felt about 55, and left after half an hour

"can't put man in a room with no subwoofers"

I used to listen the Mary-Anne Hobs on radio 1 who championed a hell of a lot of the earlier dubstep stuff, and remember listened to some of the earlier Dubstep All Stars CDs and that but it is amazing how it has taken over so so much win the past 3 years or so! i prefare alot of the older more minamalist stuff as i love bass, but i do find alot of the scene now is populated largely by the cool kids
I'm 29 and even though i like the sound i can't be bothered with going to the dances now, i'm easily 10 years older then most in there!! It's just got a bit too Nathan Barely....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhAr_UeroCk thing is it's all come true!!

Dubstep is a cross between the old reggae dub sound, and two step.

you don't dance to it. you do what they call 'skank' and get your 'demon', or, 'bass-face' on!

Is it a sign of getting old!?! Its probably what they thought when Jungle/Drum & Bass started getting popular in the mid 90's

Having researched this topic (in some detail I may add) I can conclude if you'd have stayed any longer than 30 minutes you would've experienced nausea, stomach cramps and then death.
