What a Bitch
I am so angry I could set fire to the sold sign outside my house!
Back in July we put our house on the market. £75k & 10K premium. within 2 weeks a woman viewed it loved it and offered the full amount. We accepted and took it off the market.. a month later she has difficulties so we lower the premium to help her by £2k..
We need £75k & £8k minimum to buy our next house and we have put over £13k in restoring the house.
Today with everything ready to go just arranging moving date we get a call saying she is having money troubles and can only afford £2k premium.
I think the estate agent thought we were gonna go 'no worries' but no I said put it back on the market.
I'm so wound up as the house we are buying could fall through. The seller's husband is very I'll and since August they needed the house sold he could move into a home.
I'm so angry.. means we can't 'live' in our house but keep it like a show home for viewers....
GRRRrrrrrr..
Before anyone says it. YES we can charge a premium as it's on a old contract.

It's a shared ownership £75k half the house and the rent is £100. Old council scheme.
On that scheme back in the day yu could put a premium on if you redecorate the house to improve the sale. Say £10k kitchen then you could charge a £10k premium to pay you for the work done.... Over time peope would add a premium and do no work just for money for themselves - abusing the system that's why you can't charge one anymore...
If you pay one you can charge one and so can the new buyer on any house pre 2002.
