Fantastic.

I really want to see the Northern Lights for myself one day.

Been to Lapland (north Finnish Lapland) but never saw them.

Really fascinating pictures, thanks for posting them up.

The first one reminded me of when we crossed the Atlantic we went a long way North on a great circle route to W Canada. We used to see amazing displays of the Northern Lights without the filtering effect of the atmosphere since we were at pretty high level.

The lights were very strong and with various colours and they move around. Sometimes it used to look as though they were going to envelop the aircraft. A bit worrying the first time you saw it.

My favourite was Jupiter with it's two moons, I think it's safe to say this wasn't taken with a Canon Ixus

It would have been nice to know what equipment and techniques they used to get each shot.

They are scooby-rific. I would love to see the shutter speed on that second photo. !!!!!
