Hasn't iTunes etc. got any charts for this type of thing. Sure there's been albums specifically for driving.

Oh, those download sites

On play.com, do a search for "Rush Hour" in the Music section (not films). There were 3 albums I think of all driving dance choons mixed together. All across the board from Funky/Progressive House, Progressive Trance through to Driving pumping Trance etc.

Good albums, and oober cheap on play.com

I had a Top Gear one (2008) I think - had a few good tunes on it, although some got the "forward button"

I head back into my past for driving choons;

Alabama 3 - Exile on Coldharbour Lane

Faithless - Reverence, Sunday 8pm

Massive Attack - Blue Lines, Protection, Mezzanine

Jackson Browne - Running on Empty

AC/DC - Back In Black

Plus many, many others

OP never mentioned anything about 'driving tunes' unless I've missed something

All depends what you're into but the Foo Fighters latest album is cracking ( and I'm not really a fan of them)
