Rusholme curry mile experrts
OK Manchester curry eaters... what's the best curry house in Rusholme right now?
I need cheering up so a full on curry experience is required

Curry mile is not what it used to be. I'd stay clear and find a curry house elsewhere or try Akbars in town.
Last time i went to Rusholme we walked out of 3 curry houses. I always to straight to the toilet and if its a disgusting mess you know the kitchen is likely the same.

If you fancy travelling a bit further out of town, I can recommend the Eastern Revive in Wilmslow

I lived spitting distance from the mile for a few years. I agree the food has gone down hill.
My top 3 in manchester...
3. Eastzeast
2. Akbars
1. Desi lounge
Also worth a look, mogul in white field.
Nowhere on the curry mile that I would eat now.

Good call, been there a few times, walk-able from ours but rarely make it past the Chilli Banana, the new one where the computer shop used to be (Amma I think) was ok as well.

Yeah, you're right. Been there a few times .... but still not quite what I'm after
The Asia in Rochdale used to be the best, but gone a bit lacklustre these days

You're not talking about that bloke from Return of the Jedi are you? Admiral Akbar?
No idea where he's from!
Akbars 'sounds' Pakistani, but you may need to chat to them to find out for definite.

Lads at work (Pakistani) used to go to Abduls takeaway, a load of us used to go in the early hours - 5am after work
Bit much for me at that time of the morning after a 10/12 hour shift
some do say best to eat where they do

imho,
the dearer ones in manchester, the foods seems to taste sweeter, thats why everyone likes them.
not been to rusholme in ages, there are two really good ones near me, so we always end up there, its a couyple of quid dearer, but it saves on petrol.

LOL! That was it! Definitely Greek. I reckon George Lucas was just hungry when he made these names up.
Back on topic, I have tried a couple of 'Indian' restaurants in the North West and elsewhere and the ones here in London are my fav's.
Plenty of ropey ones too of course!

Hi guys, i must say ive tried a whole heap of indian restaurants in and around manchester from karims in middleton to sanams, sajan etc but the best one is definately akbars.
Alot of pakistani curries are sweet especially the ones from around lahore cooking, but some indian ones are very spicy. Alot of variety.

If you're into Thai food Jacko, come over to Macclesfield and try Maliwan on Sunderland Street
Awesome, authentic Thai cooking, as hot as you can handle
