Here is quote what said M.Whitmarsh

“The BBC will show every grand prix in full, half of them live and half of them deferred, so free-to-air is available to everyone,” Whitmarsh told reporters last week after a meeting with F1 ringmaster Bernie Ecclestone to discuss the implications of the deal.

“Bernie assured me, and I asked him several times, the deferred coverage will not be highlights, it will be a full race. That, to some fans, will be very important, depending on exactly what races they are, so hopefully that means it’s a good deal for everyone.”

I didn't read it like that at all chap,

'If Whitmarsh’s comments left any doubt that the teams are completely out of touch with F1 fans, Williams chairman Adam Parr made that fact crystal clear when he essentially encouraged them to be happy that the BBC kept half the races. The alternative, he mused, was no free-to-air races at all.'

thats just a big f**k you to the british fans, short version, 'be happy your getting anything'.

Death toll to F1 im afraid as far as i can see, it's not anywhere near as popular or as emotionaly involving as football so trying to show it in the same way will never work.

its just a PR peice to sell it to the sky viewers, sounds veyr much like justa rework of the BBC's version, only as normal sky's will be alot worse.

also no idea if there gonna be showing adverts throught the race.

Adam Parr is **** and he want more money,he don't do best job in Williams and now want do job for someone else,he is just ...

Few months ago, teams approach Bernie about the doing more and finding new markets on social medias and later this end like that...

BBC think F1 have lower real watchers,but last time when i've look on details,i've seen like this F1 = 35.6m, W/don = 34.8m.

Exactly;

They don't define exactly what they mean when saying 'During the race'
When on cars are out on the track?
During yellow flag?
Red Flag?

etc.

BTW can't get video in the link to work

With all the anger from F1 fans at the moment saying they won't subscribe to sky to continue watching,it will be interesting to observe when SKY do take over how many fans buckle and give in to a sky package.

Did he really call Fernando, Fernandez at 3:10??

What a f*cking plank.

I was lucky enough to have a vip ticket for the 2002 F1 awards at the NEC. Shook hands and had pictures taken with Coulthard, Mansell and Murray. When I got to Tony Jardine, he completely snubbed me and anyone else that asked for a photo/autograph.

All we need is Louise Goodman, James Allen and Jim Rosenthal for the full set and ultimate TV turn-off.

I watch a lot of different sports on Sky and they give a good coverage within their own powers with the minimum of interference from adverts. If the programme is their own production, such as international cricket, they always have top quality commentators.

I would prefer to see what they actually produce in the way of F1 coverage when it happens rather that make wild pronouncements with no substantiation.
