OK I have 2 Duel Belt Driven Turntables That have Been In My Loft for 3 Years In Their Boxes, Today I Have Got Them Out And neither Of Them Will Work, Any Ideas Why, I wanted To Start Up My Vinyl Collection Again But it Looks Like I'm Gonna have To Buy A New One.

Well the obvious first question is whether the dual belts are still intact? Storing a turntable in the loft, with its usual extremes of temperature, is a huge no-no, especially for the belts, but obviously needs must sometimes. Have you checked the plug fuses, obvious stuff like that?

One of a few possible thing;
The rubber belts can go sticky and stick to the platter - the motor will not have enuogh torque to drive it.
Rubber has perished and stretched
Siezed motor/platter bearings (damp loft?)
Capacitor/PSU fault. If its a mid 1990's onwards item this is likely, as capacitor manufactures moved to China. Which caused a huge drop in durability as a consequence.

I have just purchased a Stanton T62, not that I am the next budding mix master genius or anything to be honest.
I have loads of vinyl from back in the day and wanted to revive them. You will need a preamp too if your wanting to run it through a modern day amp or separates system as they don't support 'phono' I forgot just how nice Ultravox and Roxy music sound on vinyl, not to mention the involvemnt and drama around playing music on a turntable.
