Google the same watch and see what they are selling for.

If the replacement value is £19k, then the Jeweler is deffo taking the P!ss. I'd buy nothing from Goldsmiths. They give sh!tty discounts when buying.

Depends on age etc. Where are you in the uk? There is a good second hand dealer in southport. The buy a lot of watches but they wont price it without seeing it. Hth.

Replacement value will be high because thats what the current model retails for.

You may get more, but don't expect much No real demand for that model, and rolex prices driven more by demand than anything else.

Check http://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/rolex.htm that should give you an idea of what they retail for, although what a dealer is prepared to pay would be a lot less.

Oh dear - that's almost a bad as asking what can you do about neighbour's cats s,hitting in your garden or a post saying "Pit Bulls make great family pets"

But good luck with the sale -I'll give you £100 sight unseen

Rolex Day Date with Presidential bracelets seem to be going for £6-8k online.

If this is right then £4.5k from a deal is about right.
