Actually, I don't know who is more of a tool, the bloke who hit him, or the registered keeper of the car... Pull the other one!

Steve, bloke got out of car, walloped cyclist, bloke got back in and drove off. Police called, registered driver said car had been "stolen" then returned to same place, so doesn't know who was driving it. Tool.

A few weeks ago I was cycling from Dover to London with 6 other riders. We were coming through a Southeast London suburb when a car tried to overtake whist we were going past a traffic island which significantly narrowed the road. We remonstrated with the driver, shouting etc.
The car stopped and the driver and passenger got out and started using very threatening language and their body language was highly aggressive.
I was slightly ahead of the "gentlemen" concerned, standing astride my bike, looking over my right shoulder at what was making all the noise. I said nothing. They saw me reading the number plate and said "we see you have our number, now we're effing gonna run you over you ****ing etc...".
So they got back in the car and drove off with wheels spinning and clipped my right hand with a wing mirror. Being on a spring, it made a loud noise, and they stopped again, but this time the driver came over and punched me to the ground. I thought they would start kicking me, as I lay tangled in bike on the pavement, but the bystanders (people waiting outside a restaurant) told them to "go away".
I was shaken but not hurt. The event was witnessed by my fellow riders, a bus driver and the bystanders. It was also captured on video from a helmet cam. The police were called and eventually came.
You'd think that it would be easy to locate and prosecute. It turns out that the registered keeper of the car was not using the car that day (he/she was not on the video) and apparently whilst the keeper went to a funeral the car was left unlocked with the keys in the ignition.
Upshot is that someone else, obviously being protected, was the driver and assaulter that day. Unless the police can get the keeper to talk, the assaulter goes scott free!
What a world!!!

There is another video with what happens before the youtube clip above, I cant find it anywhere. What a surprise, it wont give 'the people' what they want, ie. two sides to a story.
Still, the driver is an idiot who needs to go to a boxing club or something, he punches like a girl.

No doubt about it the driver is a prize ****, but I am also guessing that cyclist is being economical with the truth. Funny how they have such good video of the assault, but whatever footage thay have from beforehand doesn't seem to be forthcoming.
I think we will find there is a lot more to it and the cyclist is probably a prize bell end too! Not many people leap out of a car like that with zero provocation!!
Anyway look on the bright side whatever the cyclist did do he probably won't do it again

Driver threw a very gay punch. If I was the cyclist I would take the video, print stills, and write captions about how much of a limp wristed punch that driver has. Make a big game in the same manner of that peter crouch photo form a few years ago.

Level of hatred on DM site for cyclists is unreal.
....but also so many 'car drivers' that do not know the highway code and are getting upset by things that are legal.
...and complaining that they get help up for a minute? Really, is your journey that important? What if you get held up by a milk float, bus, traffic light, roadworks, horses.
Bunch of non insurance paying idiots

The bloke from the car looks like a "Hard Man" who beleives he is hard, talks the talk and is all puffed up but actually has nothing to base his "hardness" on.
Cyclist says he got caught by the cars mirror, may or may not be true but that isnt on camera and the punch is, if this **** is caught he will be in court.

Lol what a lame *** punch - looked like he hit the top of the chaps helmet so probably hurt him more than the cyclist. Funny how his passenger moves him away.

When cyclists start paying road tax then they can have some 'human rights'. Until that day I will treat them with the utter contempt they deserve

Classic case of either put up or shut up. Both parties were wrong I suspect, but, like many heated confrontations, it ended in a dust up. If you don't want to get hit by somebody with a short fuse, and you have no intention of defending yourself, stay quiet.
Had the cyclist squared up to the car driver properly I'm guessing the result would have been different.
