Default Mountain bike wheels

Just got myself a Carerra subway from fleabay, last night it started making a clunking noise from the rear - when I checked it there's quite a bit of play in the wheel! Is it worth having it fixed, or should I just try and source a new wheel? I've no idea of costs of the repairs or a new wheel to be honest, I'm a total newbie to bikes

Either side of the hub will be a thin nut, get a spanner out and tighten them up.

To think, there was an era where we used to have to grease and adjust wheel bearings on cars when they were serviced!

Not trying to be funny but why not just join or look at a bike forum ?

What I've always done

Because like I said, there's quite a lot of bikers on this forum, and rather go on to another site we could just post in a bike section here.

I agree up to a point Si, but we'd end up with a bike section, watch section, diet/food section, mobile phone section.... etc etc

Then even less people would post in NSR

IMHO

yeah that's true - I was looking in one of the other sections the other day and most of the threads were months old with no comments on them! I'm just giddy cos I've just started riding after about 20 years of being sat on my ****
