Default Carbon rim tubulars

Do i really have to spend 3 days cementing the blighters on ( iv never done this , and find it a bit intimidating ) or can i use tub tape ?

If you're going fast enough to bother with tubulars in the first place, do you really want to take the risk of not using a carbon-specific glue (like the Conti stuff)?

I worked in a bike shop quite a while ago now......this one by the way

And raced a fair bit. Unless tub tape has come on in leaps and bounds I'd use proper glue

Ah right thanks for that, i guess id better learn how then !

iv used the jentex tub tape, seemed fine , but iv never raced

Yes its got conti gatorskin on the rear disc and conti temp on the front , presumably both stuck on with their glue

Im afriad to even go out on it , looking at 30 and 60 quid for replacements

Yes midlife , im in total quandry now - should i find a track somewhere to practise on ..

Should i buy a cheap 9 speed shimano cassette and stick my cosmic elites off my road bike on it for now

..still wondering about tub tape im afraid , id rather have spare tub with me on the day ( sprint triathlon ) - want to finish !

Is this for a road bike? Tubulars are a real hassle for anything other than proper racing.
