Not sure I don't disagree with him to be honest.

Walking out on a child because you can't cope or can't keep it in your trousers is pretty low.

Know someone who has left a trail of fathered kids and those he's taken on in relationships - gets bored after a year or two and just walks out.

Yes, but he's tagging this wrongly.

Fair enough for complete abandonment.
But what about those Fathers that still see their children and contribute with regular money
Why should they be classed under bomerangs net

What about the absent Fathers who have no choice in the matter? My mates wife ran off after meeting an old boyfriend through facebook. He pays full maintenance but is denied access to his son as she does not want him messing up her life.

David cameron is a spineless tosser imo.

Sounds like most of you didn't read the article...

FTA: David Cameron said, "We need to make Britain a genuinely hostile place for fathers who go AWOL."

Most don`t and listen to sound bites from the media, or people saying what you want to hear, but doing what they want (Labour).

But imho a father that walks out and has no contact with their kids is deplorable, those who walk out and try their best to see their kids and stopped by the *** of a law or ex should have help, and those who try their best to keep things amicable and work whats best for the kids should be applauded.

I know many families who have spilt up but stay in contact and basically become an extended family, and although hard is much better.

Its about society saying what is acceptable and not, as standards have slipped somewhat with the pursuit of fame, and happy clapping tree huggers getting into the socialist law making rule making game. As people treat everything as disposable, including their relationships, where they take what they want and dump what they don`t.

Maybe its an old fashioned view, but I for one totally agree, as I`d do everything I possibly could for any children I have, from teaching, to spending quality time, and brining them up correctly. As far to many people these days have no clue, and only use children as a route to a house, or cos they have no mates, or cos they miss their "dolly" they used to have, or cos all their mates have them. There are many couples who would love a child but for medical reasons can`t, we need consequences, as modern society has few.

We should never have life made it so easy for single parents. Young girls getting up the duff just to get benefits , council houses etc has become commonplace these days.

There should be incentives, as there used to be for married couples to stay together, rather than pampering to these gymslip mums.

Nowadays its just too easy for couples to ge their separate ways as they know the state will look after them.

Just more distraction for the fact his economic policies are going to lead the UK to further problems.

I read the article, it just seems that this statement does not apply to mp's. In fact Call me dave's friend and fellow mp Greg Barker left his wife and children after deciding to turn gay and bum his interior designer. And he has since has only what can be described as a fleeting relationship with his children since.

I wonder if he is included in this statement?

My feelings about him took a dive when I saw that he binned the referendum that he promised us over the Lisbon Treaty for his own convenience and also the subservient attitude he has towards the Eu. He has to be a Europhile and should we ever become officially federated with the Eu we will have lost our country and any kind of sovereignty as well as any pretence of democracy. The politicians of course will be like pigs living in muck!

He has admitted that he put Billy Liar on a pedestal and he is doing his best to emulate his success in future elections. Basically yet another career politician!

Even the Daily Heil didn't.

He doesn't say its the same. He says it should carry the same stigma. That is a completely different thing.

Anyone that abandons their kids should be thought of as a scumbag. Not sure why the next lass thinks it will be a good idea to have a sprog with these people though.

I'm not a fan of David Cameron, but then I believe politics in Britain are broken and not fit for purpose, too many MP's in safe seats see it as a job for life, and that can't be good.

That said going back to the article, I think it's far too easy in Britain for couples to have children and then just break up, what the answer to that is, I couldn't tell you.

So many of our problems are the result of the previous administrations 'rights but no responsibilities' attitude. This is a key part of it. Families are vital, credit to those who work through failed relationships, but the children should always come first.

I am disappointed Cameron's had to backtrack in a few places, but he has inherited one hell of a mess. So overall hes doing OK.
