I've been flying Paramotors since 1994. Last weekend was the British Open Paramotor Championships which would have been a great place for you to get a feel of things www.ppgcomps.co.uk
Training can be demanding running around a field with a Paraglider over your head, but once you've sussed that it becomes pretty simple, but bear in mind that you can get in a lot of trouble, usually serious, deadly even.
New kit wing, motor, reserve parachute and sundries will cost 5-6k second hand you can half that, go any cheaper and you're asking for trouble again usually serious.
Where are you located? I'll put you in touch with an instructor.

Used to danger. I was a 1000cc Gt passenger but gave it up as I kept on breaking my ribs. My fault for getting to low. Lol
Thanks for the reply
Have you been flying long

I got that wrong actually, it was 2004 when I started, still a veteran in Paramotor terms.
No licence or insurance is needed, you just need an Airmap, Altimeter and Compass and you're legal. You'd be pretty silly if you didn't train towards some form of ticket though, the BHPA issue ratings and throw in Insurance. Make sure that your instructor can train you to the BHPA syllabus and you'll be in safe hands.
http://www.saberace.com/ are pretty close to you I think. They sell Bailey Paramotors as well, which is what I fly.
