Can anyone reccomend a food processor?
As the title really, I'm lazy when it comes to cooking and in the next few weeks will have an influx of fresh game to cook up? Being the lazy type, the thought of doing all the mixing, making soups etc by and really doesn't appeal.
If not specific models, what specs should I be looking at?

Wwe make a lot of our own food including soups, currries, etc. I have one of these and it is just brilliant. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...E1XPP0G8JXEJ1K 12 months on and still going strong. 700w motor makes light work of everything! can be uised to purée soups etc whilst they are still hot.
Replaced a much more expensive Kenwood food processor that broke after 14 or so months.

Ideally both if I can get it. If not, I could live with 2 separates, but wouldn't be ideal.

The thing is with the Kitchenaid is the motors are only 300w and they can wear the motor and the gearset can wear prematurely.. If you are only using them once a week, they will last a lifetime though.
The Kenwood have a 500w motor so is a bit stronger, and is a bit tougher internally..
We have had both over they years, the missus makes celebration cakes and is a grand confectioner so they do get used for the smaller stuff she does..
The Kenwood wins every time, although i relise it doesnt have the "snob" value of the Artisan...

Modern kenwoods are nowhere near as well made as the old ones from back in the 1980s and earlier; Just wiggle the speed dial on a modern one and it feels like its going to snap off (the fact I played with one in the display at Comet and it did just that kinda proves my point ) The old one used a proper mechnical motor speed control instead of a flimsy variable resistor.
We recently sold two 1970's/80's Kenwood Chefs A701 and a A901 on ebay with all teh kit (can opener, mincer, blender, potatoe pealer etc). Fetched well over £100 each! Not bad for a 40yr old mixer!
The A700 series are built like tanks, and have a very strong following.
Anyway; its not a food processor, but it will blend with a blender attchement fitted on the back. I should point out the KMX mixer doesn't blend at all!...you have to buy a blender instead to go with it.
