Default Sky really are useless *******!

Well I think its been approx 8/9weeks since I first ordered a phoneline and broadband.

Well last Monday my broadband finally went active and they still haven't sent me out a router. They've posted 3 of the ****ers but oddly don't have tracking numbers for any of them.

Even more annoyingly, I've been tempted to buy a router just so I don't have to speak to another customer service adviser but they won't give me my username or password as it breaks the terms and conditions to use anything but the sky router ffs!

I have spend £25 and rising ringing Sky and wasted so many lunch hours trying to get the phoneline active that I seriously think I'm going to explode at the next person from sky I have to speak too!

May well be the case but completely different company to deal with - plusnet call centre is UK based for a start and BT's offshore call centres are what made me move from them in the first place - after 20+years with BT for phone and then phone & BB.

They are all **** but sky are really taking the **** here!

Its fair enough I can live without the interwebs for a while but I specifically tried to get this sorted out before I moved into my new home as the missus had quite a bit of coursework to do and needed internet access for this and to help study for exams that she is doing this week.

Really really browned off I am!

There was something on Watchdog last year about a customer who never got the routers cause they kept sending them to a different address.

To get anywhere with sky I always had to threaten to cancel before I would magically transferred to someone who actually knew what they were doing or would send an engineer out instead of demanding £65. This was despite me being a loyal customer on the full package for nearly 12 years.

Good luck them, they still owe me a small fortune in unpaid commission and expenses. Shambolic company to work for as well as be a customer for.

seems much better than her last place where she had to leave due to harassment, hours are good, the atmo is good, people are nice, and have had no problems with company car and expenses, in fact quite the opposite, sorry to hear of your missfortune.

forget sky and their crappy services & staff. Go with BT or BT owned plusnet.

If anyone wants a referral code for plusnet PM me, I think you get x months free or some such..

Just off a 40minute phonecall with Mohammed, what a waste of time. The person couldn't even tell me what company they use to deliver the routers let alone give me a tracking number.

Just to make the point fairly obvious I again, useless shard of *****! Well done on angering an already angry customer by passing me through to what I suspect to have been the Sky Division of The Taliban.

I'd never go with sky for the simple reason I despise rupert murdoch and will never give him any of my money unless there's a gun to my head.

Totally agree, however when I took out my contract with Sky I was studying the contract law module of my MSc so I ended up with a huge discount for the first 6-months.

Took me 3-weeks to get my sky BB active as a result of Talktalk not providing a MAC code because they'd reconfigured the switch to disconnect my line from the BT exchange on to their own kit - they don't tell you that when you sign up or explain the consequences when you come to leave.
