Well, two things. 1) a single line plate on a bike is illegal (that's if your's looks like that) and 2) a piccie like that is also illegal - or at least not allowed by construction and use regs, or whatever it is that covers plates. I believe only the EU or a national symbol is allowed.
Personally I always have a plain plate, no piccies, and standard size as your reg. plate is the first thing that shouts 'STOP ME AND CHECK OVER THE REST OF MY BIKE' to plod.
Just my tuppence worth.

On it's own, if the print is ok then its illegal but as stated only an **** cop would pull you.
however if you have a can and a dark visor to go with it then it is well worth the paperwork to pull you.
I've had a number of 'illegal' plates but essentially just saying SCO instead of GB and Honda/Kawasaki etc etc along the bottom. Standard size, font everything else and never had an issue.

I don't and if I do they are power ranger types out for a weekend with huge chicken strips...
If you put a one line plate on then that's deffo going to catch the cops eye. As I said, just a plate... not worth the paperwork, with afew other things, deffo.
You might well never have an issue (although you'll need to swap for MOT unless you have a nice tester) but as long as you know the potential for a few fines!

Not worth the agro. Got pulled over by a cop in London a while back. Told me to 'clean' my plate, which, otherwise, was perfectly legal. And not to spray chain wax on it to catch the dirt ... Well, I was working as a courier at the time ....
