Great Customer Service
Yes, I know ... I'm normally having a moan about Companies and their less than perfect Service to Customers.
But, today, Suzuki showed how it should be done.
The wifes Suzuki Swift was registered in November 2002 - that's 8 1/2 years ago! Anyway, they have just issued a re-call notice for the front shock struts .... some corrosion is happening on the lower leg and a few have snapped!!
Anyway - they have had a look at the wifes car and have ordered new front struts. After 8 1/2 years they will supply and fit new struts free of charge.
Yes, they should have secured decent struts initially, but to replace on a car which is over 8 years old is pretty decent in my book.

My girlfriend has a Suzuki Swift of the same age and it's just been back for the same recall. While it was in they also gave it what amounts to a pre-MOT check free of charge. (No problems found either which given gf's total lack of attention to maintenance also says a lot about Suzuki Swifts. Not that I'd like to hit anything solid in one though......)
I was impressed as well.

its cheaper for them to replace the front struts 9 or so years on then have a liability claim or epidemic of people crashing and suing the company for liability believe me

That is great customer service.
I don't expect good customer service anymore as I'm not prepared to pay for it. You pays your money to make your choices, pay top wack in a local store and get good service or buy at a discounted price and realise that there isn't money in the companies pot to provide a decent service.

They have to do it by law AFAIK under their duty of care.
I have a Mitsi Pajero which is 16 years old and we had it in around sept for the pitman arm recall, all done free of charge.
