Stamps, Stamps, Stamps........
Just a reminder that the cost of stamps goes up on April 1st.
http://www.discountstamps.co.uk/roya...for-april-2011
First Class from 41p -> 46p and Second from 32p -> 36p
So if you are a mean sod like me it's worth getting a couple of books of stamps now. If you run a business then you could make a decent saving.
To us old timers it means posting a letter will cost nearly 10 bob and the service is getting worse

I dunno, I think it's actually quite good value for small packets and letters. Who else is going to be able to get a letter for Land's End to John O'Groats for that price? And almost next day!

10 years ago The Royal Mail, which is now profitable, were losing £1,000,000 per day. As Dave Hutton has picked up, the government, the sole share holder, need to protect the value of the country's assets whilst still providing a universal, value for money service. A 12% rise is justifiable if, as a result, an improved price is realised when the business is sold.

I get fed up with the Land's End to John O'Groats argument as there isn't a post box at Land's End so it remains unproven
RM can't win really as there is less and less post now that e-mails have become fashionable and the more they raise the price the more that put people off!!

Little dude, kinda looks like a dwarf and reeks of ****. Cheery soul mind you
We have a franking machine at work and although the postage is a bit cheaper the associated costs are a complete rip off.
