Nothings ever easy!(moving house)
Rang up my bank to change address - You'll have to come in to do that (fair enough)
Rang to change Sky and Phoneline over - Can't do that your current line is being upgraded and we can't switch it over until the upgrade has been complete.
Rang NIE to change our electric over - Not interested, told to ring back some other time.
Rang Calor Gas - They want £200 deposit to set up an account with them, swiftly told to **** off and the missus is now on the phone to the landlady asking why we weren't told about this little hidden charge to the property.
About to ring my Mobile phone provider - decided to vent my spleen on NSR instead.
So in reality, ringing all these companies has resulted in nothing being changed.

Definitely go into the bank to change address. If you have a joint account then both of you go in with ID and the rest. Saves hassle later on! As for the rest, I've had no problems when moving twice in the last 3 or 4 years. Though some want change of address in writing, which is fair enough.
