Default Space Statio spotting.

Anyone done it?

We just saw it go over here in Hampshire. I can't believe how bright it is.

think i've seen it once a few months back, as you say very bright and goes across the sky rather fast.

They're still building it. When complete it will be a Space Station.

Been doing this for quite a while, and occasionally try to spot some of the smaller satellites.

Agreed it's almost stupidly bright now when it goes over, which is all down to how big it's grown with all the extra modules they keep adding. Definitely the most awesome part of watching it is knowing there's never fewer than 6 people on-board at any one time, and they're over 250 miles up.

If you get a login for this place, and you can check exactly when it's due to fly over next:

Iridium Flares are pretty cool too, there's an iPhone app that tells you exactly when and where to look.

When I first went out to look for it, I thought I had missed it and was actually watching a helicopter that just turned it's light off.

It is interesting to see, as you say, very bright and a fast mover.
