Blo*dy Adverts.
I remember watching TV in USA years ago & thinking this is un-watchable,glad it's not like that at home......oh dear!
Does anyone else suffer from Adverising Fatigue?
I have noticed that over the last few years as the ad breaks get longer & more frequent that I either just give up or switch over.
Also any program that I want to watch or anything over 1/2 an hour I want to watch(film, series etc.) I will record it & skip the ads.Thank God for V+.
Sort of defeats the object of putting ads on TV.

Some of the adverts are better than the actual programmes
Saying that, there is far to many of them. That hideous wimmins on the Halifax advert does my head in and it's on more and more. Loads of Lloyds adverts too. aaarrggghhhhhhh
Boring!!

I start recording my programmes and start watching them an hour or so later so I can fast forward the ads. Regularly i'm with people who are talking about some ad or other and I have no idea what they're on about.
Sure there was something on the news this morning saying that there are going to be more and longer ads on soon.

Some are great and some are poor beyond belief. What currently gets my goat are film trailers that are one for about 15 seconds and they try to cram 15 scenes into the 15 seconds, the result is a WTF bombardment of flickering images with no continuity and no incentive whatsoever to see the film at the cinema.
The last one that made me laugh is the current "Maxi Moggy" advert on the radio from "Go Compare"

Saw that about them being able to put more adverts on soon! Worst stuff is on some of the children's TV .They completely frazzle the kids brains with advert after advert and its so wrong (we don't let our kids watch that much tv)
I was hoping we'd all be united on this and be able to say do the advertisers WE DON'T WATCH YOUR ADVERTS ANYMORE THANKS TO SKY + !!!!!!!!!!

Going to be 12 minute ad-breaks, apparently, since the TV companies need the money.
WE ALREADY have the same as the USA, since we watch one-hour programmes from the USA and they take an hour. We just have adverts, then the channel advertising itself.
What gets me is, where does all the money GO?
Like, Virgin get huge sums off it's customers for the programmes, they pay the programme makers, who gets the advertsing revenue? If it's Virgin, I'll cancel when 12 minute ad breaks arrive

I would like to know where the money goes as well.
The actual program content of some channels is abysmal.
How are they allowed to repeat the same sorry content day after day, month after month.
You could save money on those TV magazines & just photocopy it 12 times to give you a years schedule.
I thought there were some broadcasting standards they have to follow or does this not apply to satellite & cable channels?

I have given up watching anything on commercial TV now. Except if there's absolutely nothing on the BBC channels, or iplayer.... I don't think iplayer is going to run out of programmes for me to watch.

America have more by far, I hate like above you have adverts then the credits.
I hate the way its the same **** for two weeks at a time on sky. I watch alot of TV (its my hobby) and the same crap is on again and again, righ now for instant. Bill & Ted's bogus adventure.. Was on the same channel yesterday!
Seriously who decideds what is shown? Everything seems to be on loop. even the reruns on dave are re re runs.
The only grace is the 2 random dvd's from lovefilm. some are extreamly rubbish but at least its something different.
I would pay more fore No adverts - BBC if you read this i want good programmes though !
