Interest Rates raised to 12%!!!
Vietnam has raised another of its main interest rates as it looks to step up its fight against inflation. The State Bank of Vietnam pushed its reverse repo rate to 12% from 11%.
It could happen here if the Bank dawdles on the Inflation and raising rates!

I've experienced a Tory Government causing a 17% Base Rate!!!
Most of you won't remember that - it was soon after the Tories won ........ so, nothing like today then.......
OH, hang on a minute ...................................

Jesus christ, leave it alone.
90% of people would be homeless now with 17%, what you fail to note is the ENORMOUS economic growth that was NEVER sustainable, this WS NOT the case prior to the last recession. The difference between now and the 80's recession was that 40% of the population lived in a council house, now that is circa 28%, so a further 12% of people would be homeless. This is because of the very low un employment over the last decade. Some of us are lucky, i own more of my house than the bank, so they can get fuked. Most do not and i would urge you to ignore ANYTHING that PSLEWIS writes on this thread surrounding interest rates in the UK. It will be drivel he read in a paper, so dont add to your lifes worries with anything from PSL. This country is in trouble, no doubt....but your conerns today, need be no worse tomorrow.
Leave people alone.
Frankly though to liken our economy to Vietnams is ABSOLUTLEY PATHETIC.

But why is anybody surprised by any of the baited lines that he casts into the scoobynet forums?
Yes, some of his posts can be quite funny, but in the main he's just a trolling royal pain in the ***.

I hate the fact that some young guys will read this **** and worry for the next few weeks about the inflation rates. This type of **** angers me beyond measure.
People have enough to think about a it stands.
I know know, PSL loves a biter!....which i'm not, i'm a good samaritan on this one.

You know what?
You give me powers even I didn't know I had ..... the power to move economies, peoples lives, interest rates, the worldwide financial system.
Do you REALLY think anyone takes any notice of an Internet persona? Come on, do you REALLY? You do! and that worries me!!

He is his own worst enemy, since most, if not all, of what PSL posts destroys what little credibility he has left and is most often subject to ridicule, even on serious subjects. Still what he does post generates a little entertainment in banter, nothing more.

Actually Pete, it can worry some people.
Case in point was a chap on Pistonheads who bought a Porsche that subsequently broke down.
People on the forum were winding him up about it going to cost an arm and a leg to fix.
Subsequently, it cost him his life as he killed himself due to the financial worry.
Ok, he may have been unstable anyway - I don't know, but it certainly pushed him over the edge.

I give you no power at all....the forum gives you power, the power to be published. Which concerns me to a point. Personally the amount of credit i give you could be noted on the head of a pin, but there are those people in the world who read and believe. For them i feel concern. For you Pete, i feel pity, nothing more.
I make just one point.
You have little to no idea of what you speak, everything relays to "life experience" of which by design you have. However i doubt it reached the giddying heights you suggest it has. Certainly over the last few years i doubt it reaches far beyond your keyboard, mouse, and the daily rag.
Please send yor wife/ family my regards, they must be saints to still have the will power to put up with you.
Congrats, on this forum for the most part your opinion is NOT respected, nor i'm sure is mine, but like you i have the power of being published here.

I may push someone over the edge?
May I suggest that they have many more problems than just reading and acting upon something on the Internet?
I do, however, remember one chap getting his clocks move wrong and arriving at an important meeting an hour late
Anyone who thinks any BBS is true, real life, needs to open that wooden thing in the front wall and step outside

Interest rates won't rise until at least 2099.
House prices are rising.
There will be full employment next week.
Fuel will be 25p a Gallon from April 1st ....
The sun will shine everyday from now on.
And, the Internet is real ..............
There, that's SpecD happy

This really has shaken the very essence of my comprehension of life......
So... it might be a dream.... like Bobby Ewing in the shower......
That explains the connection with Pete and a Douche!!!

I bought a property in that market and the whole UK economy and the world economy was no way as bad as what the whole world is now! The Americans have screwed the whole world selling cheap mortgages to people who were gonna be ripped off after the cheap start deal wore off
