Where to ski/snowboard in March
Hi all
Looking to go skiing either 5th or 12th of March for 1 week with a friend. He's a boarder so we'll need some wide slopes.
Other parameters to consider:-
Need high resorts for time of year.
Good nightlife
HB accommodation within resort, pref walking distance to bars etc. Will put up with bus journey to gondola if we have to.
Budget ~£600 + ski pass and kit hire. I usually work on £1000 inc spending money being a good ballpark.
So far we have been to.
Altenmarkt - good slopes but dead resort at night.
Saalbach - best place I've been to. Great allrounder
Mayrhofen - good slopes but crap nightlife. Brochures suggest nighlife is great but there's only a hand full of bars. (I was there last year)
Any ideas?
Zell am See looks good.

Val thorens in the 3 valleys? It should hold the snow a while think the resort itself is at 2300m. If you get a full area pass you can have access to over 200 lifts and 600km of pistes. Might be pricey though.
