13:1 compression AND a turbo!?! He's joshing, right? Thats drag racer stuff (i.e rebuild on every event).

Suppose it explains the billet CNC'd engine block I guess the guy owns a few CNC machines and is a dab handy with NC code and CADCAM.

Hmmm, my mate sells CNC machines....I wonder if he could do me a few "favours".....

When I turbocharged my 1300cc BDA race engine I was getting 265 BHP at 11500 RPM. I was quite pleased at that since it was a good many years ago and I did not have any special facilities. I had my own ideas on tweaks which I had developed over the years. I was blowing at 20psi boost with a low compression ratio of couse-that enables you to push a bigger volume of charge into the engine.

A turbocharged engine tends to be reliable since the fact that there is always pressure in the combustion chamber reduces the reciprocating forces on the rods, big ends, and crank.

Probably; that clutch is very similar to the clutches found in automatic gearboxes, its just a dry type instead of wet (which are nomally the size of a Compact Disc) which are often capeable of takeing well over 1000lb/ft on a good day.

They tend to work like an on-off switch, but this mainly depends on the release mechanism

I used an AP single plate racing clutch which was not a great deal bigger that that one. It had a very easy to use take up but was very positive and never gave a problem.
